Full Moon in Leo - Shine Bright
The Full Moon in Leo falls on January 23rd wrapping our month up with sunshine and creative vibes. This is a welcomed relief after the serious energy of Capricorn and the always stressful Mercury Retrograde.
Live through your heart chakra and engage in the world around you. Step back from your ambitions for a moment and make sure they are aligned with whats in your heart. Encourage your creative self at every opportunity and let curiosity be your guide to new found talents. The Full Moon is always a great time for signing off on projects, reviewing accomplishments and bringing any work in progress to a happy conclusion. Be practical in your approach to your dreams moving forward and find creative solutions when obvious answers elude you. Work to create win/win situations whenever possible and don't be afraid to be generous with those who deserve it.
Although romantic love will be highlighted with the Full Moon in Leo, many people will feel a strong calling to practice anything that enforces self-love. The focus turns inward as we nourish our spirit and our self worth. With all this self love going on don't forget to keep balance between your head and your heart.
Things to consider at this Full Moon in Leo:
- Have youbeen true to your authentic self?
- How have you expressed yourself creatively lately?
- Have you been chasing your hearts true desire?
- Have your been your most generous self with those you love?
- What talents have your come to learn and teach?
- How can you live courageously in your life?

Tarotscopes - Mercury Retrograde
Friends that chose #1 - You picked The Queen of Swords. She is wicked intelligent and can be guilty of slicing people down with her words. Be aware that the spirit of what you are saying will be taken the wrong way if the delivery is sharp. You will have a good mind for planning and will top all others in role of task master. You have been relying too much on your outer shell of protection and may be encouraged to break down some of those long standing walls. You will have no trouble laying down the foundations of a grand plan but hold off on the execution until Mercury goes direct at the end of the month.
Friends that chose #2 - You picked The 9 of Pentacles. This is a card about tending to your gardens and getting them ready for harvest. You have put in a lot of work over these last few months and the rewards are right around the corner. Be careful not to pluck your fruits from the vines too soon, timing will make a huge difference in how much you get from your crop. Accumulating money will be the focus of this Retrograde so you would be wise to focus on stashing it away and keeping your spending at a minimum.
Friends that chose #3 - You picked the high priestess. This is a card about intuition and inner awareness. When the spirit calls to you how do you answer? Do you engage with your intuition and work with it on a regular basis? You will be asked to do a lot of inner searching during this retrograde. Find mentors, connect with people and groups you have something to learn from. Allow yourself to meditate, allow yourself to accept your own inner truth. The HP is strong in her convictions and does not need to look to anyone else to make her decisions.
Mercury Retrograde - Round 1 - Foundations
Mercury Retrograde (Full Cycle) - Jan 5th - 25th
Mercury Rx in Aquarius - Jan 5th - 8th
Mercury Rx in Capricorn - Jan 8th - 25th
For the few days that Mercury is Rx in Aquarius communications and ideas will mostly surround the shocking, inventive and progressive. Aquarius being an air sign indicates that this is not a time to manifest but to plan and gather your thoughts for when Mercury (and the New Moon) move into stable, earthy, Capricorn.
On the 8th Mercury Rx moves into Capricorns house. Our thinking turns methodical and we are struck with a sudden sense of purpose. Despite the negative "juju" surrounding Mercury in Retrograde this is actually a pretty positive placement. The general impact will be practical communication and logical thinking. Its a great time to lay down the foundation for something, but wait until after the 25th to finish the job or sign any binding contracts. This aspect makes it easy to focus on to-do lists and tasks at hand. Take advantage of this energy by organizing yourself and being ready to implement practical solutions in to your life this year.
Mercury goes direct on January 25th while still in Capricorn giving us the boost in motivation and responsibility we need to follow through with the plans made earlier in the month.
This is the first of {4} total Mercury Retrogrades this year. The more we know, the smoother transition we experience, so check back for updates or subscribe to get them right in your inbox!

December Deck of the Month
This month’s deck is The Fountain Tarot! The soft, etherial imagery and silver lined edges send me right into a winter wonderland of Tarot. I had the pleasure of attending the launch party for this beautiful deck back in July. It was a great time and the creators were delightful.
Lets jump right in with the INTERVIEW YOUR DECK spread and see what FT has to say!
- Please introduce yourself - The Tower - I am a huge proponent of change, I am the one you should turn to when things get rough. I understand the higher teachings of the Phoenix, walking through fire to be born a new. When you are under pressure I will bring new angles and perspectives to consider.
- Your strengths - 6 of Wands Reversed - I will pick you up when you get knocked down by life. I am a friend to anyone who is struggling in this physical reality. Rock bottom is my specialty and an excellent place to start rebuilding from.
- Your limitations - The Magician - I am not as well suited for material pursuits. I prefer to work on an energetic and idealistic level.
- What can I learn from you - The Emperor Reversed - I am here to teach you to question the rules and structures of society. Bend your mind in new directions, explore unknown territory, move outside the old structures and create your own. Be idealistic.
- What is the best way to work with you - allow me to help you with planning and decisions you have been putting off. When you are ready to stop procrastinating and start progressing ill be there to help!
- Out come of our relationship - Four of Cups Reversed - spiritual and emotional nourishment that will help guide you along to fulfillment. Im here to help you transform.
Hope you enjoyed this months deck!
